Airbus Helicopters International Services (AHIS) is dedicated to the recruitment, training and management of qualified personnel who are deployed in support of rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircraft operators around the globe. Created in 2010, it is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Airbus Helicopters and proposes three lines of service: onsite technical assistance, aircrew assistance, and consulting.

Onsite technical assistance

Under the umbrella of Airbus Helicopters International Services’ field assistance capabilities, the company delivers turnkey solutions to customers where adaptability and speed of response are essential.

Leveraging its qualified and licensed technical team, AHIS studies customer needs in order to propose the best solution in the optimal timeframe. The company is a European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145-approved maintenance organisation, with technicians that are Part 66-licensed with the necessary type rating.

The AHIS team is dedicated to delivering the desired mission outcomes, on time and on budget – utilising a team of pilots that are qualified by EASA, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Aviation regulation

  • Assistance for maintenance organisation approval, continuing airworthiness management organisation services, air operator certificate support, safety management system (SMS), quality management system (QMS), regulatory compliance audits, environmental management system (EMS), etc.

Maintenance engineering

  • Aircraft damage assessment, aircraft reliability control programme (RCP), best industrial practice, direct maintenance cost (DMC) and direct operational cost (DOC) analyses, etc.


  • Sparesmanagement, warehouse infrastructure engineering and support, stock optimisation, document management, transport advice, authorised economic operator (AEO), approval and support, etc.

Training and flight ops.

  • Aircraft standard operating procedure, flight and mission preparation, digital flight data support, risk assessment, flight operations, engineering services, etc.
